WGP Adds Renowned Employment Law Attorney to Team

By: devweb

Philadelphia – October 23, 2018 – Joyce L. Collier, an attorney known throughout the region for her work in Employment Law, Civil Rights and Complex Litigation has joined Greenblatt, Pierce, Funt and Flores, LLC as a partner. Prior to joining the firm, she operated her own practice, Collier Law, P.C. Collier has thirty years of experience as a trial lawyer in state and federal courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and her passion is in fighting for low-wage workers who have been denied the most basic workplace protections. She has served as co-counsel with Gloria Allred and Nathan Goldberg in successfully representing a group of New Jersey female cocktail servers who were harassed and fired from a casino in favor of much younger women. In another matter, the team took on a nationally-known slaughterhouse that fired a group of workers after they complained about injuries suffered while working on high-speed production lines. Additionally, along with Ms. Allred, Ms. Collier represented some of the women who were sexually harassed by Bill Cosby. In 2016, she represented the Drug and Alcohol Service Providers Organization of Pennsylvania in Washington v. DPW, No. 50 MAP 2016, in which the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania struck down Act 80 of 2012 because it violated the Pennsylvania Constitution. She continues to represent workers in high profile matters involving large, nationally-known companies with thousands of workers. She is a graduate of the Trial Lawyer’s College of Temple University School of Law and has served as an adjunct law professor at Rutgers School of Law Camden. She has also worked for over twenty years for the Legal Clinic for the Disabled as a board member, executive director and volunteer. Collier is a graduate of Rutgers School of Law, where she received the Most Promising Civil Litigator Award and the Stratton Moot Court Award. Before entering private practice, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert L. Clifford of the New Jersey Supreme Court. Founded 22 years ago as an aggressive criminal defense law practice, Greenblatt, Pierce, Funt and Flores, LLC has grown into a full-service law firm offering individuals assistance in virtually all areas of criminal, employment, personal injury, civil rights, and family law. The firm has four offices in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Visit gpffstaging.wpengine.com for more information.
