The WGP team of attorneys represents finance companies, commercial banks, and lending institutions in a variety of complex transactions including the drafting of necessary documents. Our lawyers are experienced in financing transactions for asset and stock acquisitions, private equity investments, real estate acquisitions and development, construction loans, trade finance, asset-based lending (including equipment, inventory, and receivables financing), as well as general working capital finance. We are highly experienced in representing lenders involved in providing debtor-in-possession (DIP) financing and we traditionally work closely with the firm’s bankruptcy lawyers in such matters.

Due to our years of experience and location in the Mid-Atlantic region, we frequently serve as local counsel for out-of-state lenders in preparing documents and providing opinions on matters of local law. In addition, our team of attorneys has assisted both lenders and borrowers with negotiating and documenting real estate secured loans and related transactions up to and including multi-million-dollar, multi-state transactions and has represented agent banks, lenders, finance companies, asset-based lenders, commercial paper conduits, borrowers, and intermediaries in negotiating and documenting financing transactions of all sizes and varieties.

The firm also has significant experience handling all aspects of loan workouts including the drafting of modification and forbearance agreements.
